As a result, Akvelon created the Content Delivery Platform to meet Lakeside Technologies' business needs. The Content Delivery Platform is designed to offer a complete data management platform that is fully integrated with Lakeside Techologies' system.

We developed a comprehensive suite of software applications that enables Lakeside Technologies to deliver content with consistent presentation and navigation.

With our Content Delivery Platform, the client’s learning system gained improved performance features, such as:

• Web services for client access to learning system functions and services.
• Routing Web Service for accessing specific business and data objects. This service is available to client applications.
• New display options for viewing business and data components separately, which consist of different screens or machines within a given web service, including the following layers:
  • Presentation Layer for making calls to the Routing Web Service to send and retrieve XML-based messages
  • Data Layer for placing and retrieving data, with Storage Procedures for inserting, deleting, and updating data
  • Business Layer for communication between business objects and the Data Layer
