The Amalga Unified Intelligence System (UIS) Medical Imaging Module provides the capability to deliver multiple types of medical images and display them alongside information available in the Amalga UIS all on an easy-to-use image viewer.
Business Need
The Medical Imaging Module gathers images from multiple providers combined with a subset of information, and delivers them to multiple consumers across the network. With the large image size, computation-intensive image processing, and emphasis on the system’s overall performance, it would require a skilled team to build, test, and deploy such a complex system. Microsoft decided to hire a vendor that would be capable of handling a project of this complexity.
Solution
Akvelon was chosen as the vendor for this project. The selection criteria was based on Akvelon’s depth of expertise in development and test automation, as well as their ability to quickly scale the team with their on-site/off-site operations model.
Akvelon put together a team of on-site developers and testers supported by their off-site developers, testers, and project management in Ukraine. The team began contributing as an extension of the UlS product group.
